Prayer and Reflection for Lent 2021: Fratelli Tutti
23rd March at 8pm, Zoom
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Sutton Deanery Pastoral Council is unable to run a ‘live’, gathered, event this year. Instead, we are pleased to offer an opportunity to reflect on Pope Francis’ latest encyclical, Fratelli Tutti: On Fraternity and Social Friendship.
Pope Francis' third Encyclical Letter takes its inspiration from St Francis’ Admonitions 6 – Of the Imitation of the Lord.
“Let us all, brothers, consider the Good Shepherd who to save His sheep bore the suffering of the Cross.”
You are invited to read the summary of Fratelli Tutti and then join together virtually, to share some observations and have some discussion, by Zoom, on 23rd March at 8pm
Further details of Fratelli Tutti and a link to a summary can be found here:
The invitation to the Zoom meeting will be in parish newsletters and on this website nearer the time. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

Latest Guidelines on Face Coverings
Face coverings will be mandatory in Places of Worship from Saturday 8th August 2020. All those who are attending churches must wear a face covering unless they are exempt from doing so. This is for the good of all who gather in the Church for Mass as it is an enclosed public space where there are people from differing households who they do not normally meet.4
Priests in the sanctuary providing they are sufficiently distant (2m or more) from the congregation do not need to wear a face covering except when distributing Holy Communion (please see below). Other ministers in the sanctuary should wear face coverings and remain socially distant from the celebrant.
The full text of the new Guidelines (Guidance for Acts of Worship 3/8/20) can be found in the Documents section (>Pastoral Letters), of this website.
